Beautiful Day
I’m out and about today, eating, wandering, knitting like a little lost soul. That’s what an impromptu day off is like. Usually I’m scheduled to the max. I’m liking it. Everyone on the street is happy. The sun is sending out it’s happy rays today. I ate at La Frasca (sorry D). I’ve been craving the calamari for months. The fish soup was delicious.
I found a great boutique. It’s been around for awhile but I’ve passed by on other missions and always meant to go in. Well I’m glad I did today. I found a little black dress. The kind you could wear everyday.

This restaurant is really a sweet spot. 50’s-60’s music playing, a nice menu with gluten free and vegan choices. Covered patio overlooking The Bay. I had pickled beet salad and quinoa sweet potato cakes with root vegetable ketchup. Peppermint tea in a china cup and saucer. I fit right in. Key-lime lemon meringue pie for dessert. I think I’m in heaven.

Lunch at The Designer Cafe
I had a wonderful lunch the other day. Butternut squash grilled cheese and celeriac apple salad. It was very good!! I also found a new use for Celeriac, we received it frequently in our CSA farm share over the winter. After awhile you run out of ideas.
