I was searching for inspiration and came across this yarn in my stash. It’s Borgo dePazzi, degradé, 100% wool. I made it up as I went along and it turned out to be a cute poncho. I added one of my felted flowers and voila!, a misty moon poncho. Our view of the supermoon last night was spectacular. I couldn’t capture the beauty in a photo but here’s my shot.

Knitting update
I took a little blog vacation. I had to put my knitting on the shelf for a bit because of tendonitis. I have a few things on my needles…

I finished the mittens, just a simple pattern I adapted for bulky yarn. They were so quick I don’t think I’ll knit mittens with anything but bulky weight.
I found a beautiful shawl pattern Affirmative shawl, that uses super bulky yarn. It’s going super quick. Very satisfying.
I’ve made a dent in my Christmas knitting. I started earlier this year, I’m trying to stress out this year. We’ll see.

Finished Seyfert Cowl
Seyfert Cowl
I’m still feeling “under the weather” so I went shopping in my yarn stash and I found a skein of Peruvia Quick and Thick n’ Thin both by Berroco and a pattern on the Berroco site for the Seyfert Cowl and it was free! I learned a new stitch, which is fun. Purl 2tog and then purl the first stitch again. It gives it some character for sure.
It’s super quick. So I’ll have the finished project before the day is over.

Baby Knits
There’s a baby growing in my circle of friends. I’m feeling under the weather today, what a better way to cheer myself up then to start and finish a baby knit. This little cotton hat pattern is from “Last-minute knitted gifts” by Joelle Hoverson. This is my go-to book of classic patterns. Whenever I’m at a loss about what to knit I find the perfect pattern.
