Knitting update
I took a little blog vacation. I had to put my knitting on the shelf for a bit because of tendonitis. I have a few things on my needles…



I finished the mittens, just a simple pattern I adapted for bulky yarn. They were so quick I don’t think I’ll knit mittens with anything but bulky weight.
I found a beautiful shawl pattern Affirmative shawl, that uses super bulky yarn. It’s going super quick. Very satisfying.
I’ve made a dent in my Christmas knitting. I started earlier this year, I’m trying to stress out this year. We’ll see.

Christmas Knitting
I’ve been on a blogging vacation. I think I’m ready to get back on track. I have been busily knitting for Christmas. I used to make all my gifts. The last couple of years I’ve started that tradition back up again. I’m hoping it will give me some Christmas spirit. I’ve finished a couple of scarves and a cowl. I feel I have a lot of ideas but I’m going to run out of time. Some may need to be New Years gifts but no matter it’s still a gift from my heart. I found some beautiful patterns. I experimented with a few yarns so I’m having fun with it. I ended up designing a simple cowl pattern using the Star stitch, which I’m now obsessed with. I find as my knitting skills expand, if I don’t like a pattern I end up changing it to my liking. I fail a few times and start again but it makes the process interesting and more fulfilling in the end. Yarn is forgiving and I’m ok with ripping apart a project to start fresh.
