The Gift of Music
I’ve been busily practicing for a casual guitar recital today. Also, I whipped up this little green Bow Peep dress. My guitar teacher’s baby daughter Siobhan will be the recipient. A Thank-you for putting up with my classical guitar shenanigans. The little bolero I knit with a yarn called Folk Song, and a bit of Noro.
Frais Catering had a beautiful cream of asparagus soup. Yum!!
Wirbel by Sue Berg
It’s not feeling much like summer yet so the lovely Devon at The Wool and Tart brought a bit of summer inside.
This inspired this beautiful offering by Frais Catering.
I started the Wirbel by Sue Berg. The pattern by chart is difficult to understand. So I found written instructions. After a few false starts and a few stitch markers later and I’m making progress. If anyone would like the pattern it is free on Ravelry. The written instructions are: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/BonnyBrookFarm/wirbel/slideshow?fullscreen=1&start=34607774
Stitch markers by FarmerGirlKnits on Etsy.
Cheers!

Wicked weekend
Saturday, we traveled to Mahone Bay and Lunenburg to have lunch and shop around. We had lunch at Rebecca’s. The chef is very talented. Take a look.
Found a pretty dress at Luvly in Lunenburg. Canadian made. I love when the tag says Made in Canada!
Yesterday at Have A Yarn in Mahone Bay I found some new projects:
Today I had a lace knitting workshop at The Loop in Halifax.
This yarn I will use to make the Wirbel Shawl by Sue Berg. A one skein project!
Penny in the Sun
Finished half of my Penny vest, I’m loving this colour. Perfect for warmer months ahead. I had a wonderful lunch from Frais Catering today. Pea soup with a mustard butter with ham and Gruyere puff pastry.
Perfect Saturday Morning
Maple Tart from Slow Dough. BrownStitch Penny vest knit with Berroco Folio.
