Wilde Lake a novel by Laura Lippman

A district attorney “Lu” has to investigate the death of a woman who was beaten to death by a homeless man. This is a story about a family secret’s that come back to haunt them. This story flips back and forth between the main characters childhood and present day. There was just enough interest to keep me engaged in this book. I wouldn’t call it riveting, and it was somewhat predictable. I did like the parallel storyline. The main characters childhood story was more interesting than her present story. I would have liked to have learned more about her brother AJ’s life to understand his character a bit better, is was slightly underdeveloped. If anyone else has read this book, I’d love to hear what you thought.
