Disappearance at Devil’s Rock by Paul Tremblay

This is another recommended book from Stephen Kings latest reads. Another page turner, I finished this book in a couple of nights. A group of three boys Tommy, Luis, and Josh befriend an odd character at a park hangout that has folklore attached to it. They are taken in by his stories and knowledge of the area. They seem to have a lot in common despite the difference in their ages. Tommy goes missing, they search but he can’t be found. Then “the pages” show up . You have to read it to believe all the undercurrents of the story.

Defending Jacob by William Landay

This book was an amazing read. A boy is found dead and the suspect is a classmate with a father in the District attorneys office. Lately it’s been a struggle for me to focus but I had no difficulty focusing on this book. The plot seems simple but it isn’t, it’s genius! There are duelling plot lines that kinda just sneak up on you and before you know it you’ve been had!

Enjoy!
