A friend asked me the other day what my poem Tiny Hope meant. It’s about feeling older than you are, putting on a happy face when you don’t feel happy and wishing for a peaceful sleep:) I think everyone goes through that at one time or another.

What to do on a stormy day?
Tiny Hope
Silence promised but unkept,
Turns time into a liar,
And moments turn into hours.
Heads ache and spines weighted down
With exhaustion complain.
Tired of hollow words and empty smiles,
Faces reverse into neutral sadness.
The lines accumulated from time,
tell the truths we’d like to forget.
So we march on silently with a tiny hope that peace will come.
That Peace will finally come.

I’m Grateful
I’m in a creative mood. I looked in the fridge for inspiration. It’s pretty easy when I have such beautiful produce grown locally and supplied by Taproot my local CSA farm. Even the oil for my roasted vegetables is local and Non GMO. So impressed!
I’ll roast the veggies with that beautiful garlic bulb on top and in the Slaw I added red and green cabbage, carrot and celeriac.
I’m grateful I live in a place so inspiring. Thanks Taproot!
