I’m in Annapolis Royal for lunch at Bistro East. They other a lot of gluten free items. Knitting Juliette, I’m loving the lace but I switched from addi’s to Bamboo, definitely needed the lace tip and non slippery needle.

Summer Storm knitting
I’m attempting to knit my Juliette shawl by lamplight. Wish me luck.
I’ve been trying to entertain myself but reading by lamplight put me to sleep. Even though my latest read is very engaging. Come, Thou Tortoise by Jessica Grant. This is a good lesson for me. I’m sitting in silence with just me and my thoughts when I would usually be watching Netflix and knitting.

Here I go…I decided to start with the rose pink at the top and white at the bottom.
This hand spun yarn from Heartfelt Creations is really nice to work with. It’s self striping but each colour morphs into the next. My two projects I have on the go right now are both one skein projects.
Have A Yarn
I’m in Mahone Bay for supper. So I stopped into Have A Yarn. I couldn’t decide which yarn colorway to choose for this fun Cranberry Swirl capelet. Pinks with Lace or Campfire morph so I bought both.
The yarn comes from New Glasgow. I love local hand spun yarn, so much character. Heartfelt Creations.

My new issue of Taproot. It’s so beautiful inside and out.
So last week…
I had an interesting vaycay I was sick for half of it. A nightmare really but I’m better now and back at it. My White Caps Cowl keeps going and going. Can’t wait to be finished. My other projects are on hold. With many projects in the queue I hesitate to start something new without finishing at least one and this is going to be the one. I will get wear out of this I’m hoping. The silk and cotton isn’t too heavy.
It’s a beautiful day in my part of the world. Something to be grateful for.
