Vacation Days

April 14th.  It’s our anniversary!! Ten years!!! I feel old…

The view from our balcony.  I could’t go too far from our room yesterday as I wasn’t feeling well.  Lots of people watching.  I felt like I was in Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window.  I love that movie.  I might have to watch that when I get home.

I finished The Nest by Kenneth Oppel.  It was great.  A quick read and the story of this lad kept me glued to the page!

Vacation Days

April13,2017 vacation Day 5 Still sunny, still hot. I started The Nest by Kenneth Oppel. The main character is a boy called Steven, in his words he tells the story. His parents, sister, and new baby are the people in his world. The new baby has a congenital defect. His stories and dreams reflect his struggle to understand. What I like about the book so far is the discussion about wasps, bees and nests. I’m totally in the category of nesters. Even on vacation I’ve made a nest with chairs and cushions. In the nest is yarn, music, and books. I’m having a hard time chronicling my adventures in the past few days as Wifi is not always available. As a chameleon adapts, so do I. So my posts are sporadic.
